The most all purpose camping item is gallon size ziploc bags. Use them for cooking (omelets in a bag, boiling corn), to store food items, to store toiletries for the trip to the shower, to store kid's small toys, to store wet swim clothes... etc., etc. - R. Anderson |
When camping or picnicing you can use a new fitted single sheet for a tablecloth this fits most picnic tables and won't blow off on windy days. - D. Salerno |

I made up a few sheets of information and store it in a folder. This includes a copy of my driver's license, medical information, emergency contacts, and other essential information if I am not able to speak for myself. I also include allergies and special medication or conditions. - Karen |
I do a little river running with a group of guys and do the cooking. I have found that by precooking the food, freezing it and placing it in a cooler it helps keep everything cool. When it is ready to use it is somewhat thawed and I can just put the parts together. I can have a full meal on the table (canoe) in less than an hour off the river. - Richard |
