Oven cooking, being a way of life for me, requires the best
equipment. Next to the Dutch ovens themselves my Camp Chef cooker
is the most important equipment I use. It goes with me everywhere;
cookoffs, demonstrations, classes, camping, or just backyard fun.

HOT ROCKS
This is for anybody who will be cooking over an open fire this
summer. When building your fire pit, NEVER choose stones/rocks that
have come from a source of water. Moisture in these rocks can explode
at various temperatures! The moisture has to escape and let me tell
you, you won't ever forget it.

BACON-WRAPPED STUFFED JALAPENOS
|
| 1 dozen large jalapenos
1 package of cream cheese
1 package of cocktail weenies
1 package of thin-sliced bacon
|

Cut the tops off of the jalapenos and discard. Slice the jalapenos
in half lengthwise and clean out the seeds and ribs. Slather some
cream cheese on each half and insert one cocktail weenie in between.
Put the halves back together and wrap with one slice of bacon. Secure
with a tooth pick. Cook in your Camp Chef Barbecue
Grill Box until the bacon is done. Let the cream cheese cool
a bit and then enjoy!
