GRIDDLE CARE & SEASONING
Beginner and advanced chefs alike can enjoy success with the support
of a quality steel fry griddle. These beautiful griddles will fit
into your personal cooking style. Over time, the griddle will take
on
a character
of its own. The color of the griddle will transform
from a shiny silver metallic into warm brown tones. This is a sign
of good seasoning.
In order to develop the perfect seasoning on your griddle, wipe
a very thin coat of lard or white shortening over the entire surface.
Repeat this process before and after each use. If you prefer to
use vegetable oil, be sure to wipe away any excess. Too much oil
will cause the griddle to become sticky and rancid.
Be sure to store your griddle in a dry location, using a storage
bag to protect the cooking surface. You are sure to enjoy years of
